T&W Corporation teamed up with the architect, Ken Sebree & Associates for this Design/Build project consisting of a new sanctuary addition of 7,200 sf and remodeling of an additional 4,500 sf of the existing facility.
T&W’s Design/Build approach gave the Franklin Church of Christ building committee three possible scenarios that included design and current cost information. This D/B approach allowed the committee members the opportunity to evaluate each of the three schemes and their impact on needs, price, schedule, and design before actual construction began.
The new sanctuary has seating for 650 people and features a beautiful cathedral style ceiling that is suspended from the pre-engineered steel structure and constructed out of fire-rated gypsum board. Other features include an integrated fiberglass baptismal font, sound system, specialty lighting, video projector with concealed retractable projector screen.
