Strategically set behind their newly constructed worship facility, the Annex Building for the First Assembly in Crawfordsville was a welcome addition to the Church Campus. Since the 2000 completion of the sanctuary/classroom building, the five full time administration personnel and the church office were inconveniently located at an off campus lease space.
The new 6100 sf facility provided an administrative office area of approx 2100 sf with a kitchenette, restrooms and 6 staff offices. The remainder of the facility is comprised of a large worship area for children and youth, four additional classrooms and storage space.
After receiving three local bids to build the facility, the Pastor did not feel he had the right price and contacted T&W. Within 11 days of the Pastor’s challenge, T&W prepared a proposal for the church providing them with cost savings of well over 10%.
Although T&W performed the work in less time than required by the owner, we chose, up front, to give back a time incentive bonus of $7,500.00 in order to better help the project remain as cost effective as possible. At least half of this bonus would have been earned through prompt construction times.
